Feldberg is a worthwhile destination with cross-country ski runs, slopes for beginners and professionals and ski-lifts.

Skiing has a long tradition at the Feldberg: In one guestbook there is an entry of a skier from as early as 1891. The skiresort Feldberg is one of the resorts with the highest snow certainties of the European low mountain range. Additionally there are snow canons. The lift association Feldberg includes 28 lifts totalling 50 km that can be used with one single lift card. With the ski-pass you can use the ski-bus (bus stops approximately a 3 minute walk from the House Sonnwaerts) for free or park for free on the Feldberg, at the valley station of the 6-chairlift. The drag lift in Altglashuetten that can be reached within a 3 minute drive is well suited for families. There are cross-country ski runs totalling 60 km at your disposal. The nearest entry to the run is directly behind the house.
